This is a traditional event held in Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (Bahia, Brazil) since 2005. The main goal of this event is to provide interactions between multidisciplinary students and researchers interested in the current developments on physics related fields. The conference consists of a series of invited talks and short communications, taking place at UESC campus, in Ilhéus City. Students (undergrad or graduate levels) are invited to join us, as well as teachers and high-school students, for a journey in basic concepts and last discovering in physics. In the present year, in agreement with International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies, the invited talks will cover the topics: General relativity; Cosmic Background Radiation; Synchrotron Emission; Alternatives Sources and Education.
